Reflection
Experience:

Through this semester's study.I gathered a lot of new knowledge on type design and text formatting which would be useful for future personal and professional projects that I could take part of. I now understand the workflow behind creating readable content and typeface creation as well as the basic skills to perform them with the use of applications used throughout this course.

Observation:

This class is very active. I noticed that the communication between students and teachers is very harmonious and the overall atmosphere of the class is very good. We Chinese students may have some difficulty understanding some parts, but Mr. Max helped us a lot. Thank you very much. I now understand the workflow of font design and the necessary skills in the process of use. Seeing the rich works of my classmates has also improved my creativity.

Findings:

Learning typography gave me a deep understanding of the importance of the visual beauty of words and conveying information. I mastered different font types and design principles such as contrast, balance and hierarchy, which helped me create visual focus and rhythm in my designs. Through practical operations, I learned how to use professional software for typesetting and understood the balance between client needs and design. This learning experience not only improved my aesthetic ability, but also honed my technical application and communication and collaboration skills.
