PART 1: IDEA DEVELOPMENT (WEEK 10)

1.Idea Development

I found some poster designs online as references. The teacher said the one in the middle would work, so I decided to create something about particle dissipation. During this process, I was thinking about my theme.

Lecturer's Feedback :

For the submission, we must use at least 30% of our own photography to get more marks. Choose one of those design to animate. Mr. Fauzi suggested me to go with the second outcome.

2. Design Direction

Next is to draw a sketch based on your ideas. I drew this sketch directly based on my photos.

I think this photo of mine can create this feeling, because I think this particle dissipation is very suitable for expressing themes related to nature.

Then I put the photo into PS to create it. First, I made a particle dissipation effect on the photo.

Lecturer's Feedback :

I asked my classmates and teachers and they said that this poster lacks some elements. Only the dissipation of particles is too simple and it is difficult to express the meaning related to nature. So the following is the final result of my poster. I added a dove, which means freedom and peace. The dove also represents animals, so it can reflect the harmony between man and nature.

TITLE: Harmony in Motion

ARTIST STATEMENT: 

This poster focuses on the theme of the integration of nature and humans, showing the harmonious relationship between humans and nature. The characters gradually turn into particles and merge with the flying white doves, symbolizing the beauty and inevitability of individuals returning to nature. The flying white doves represent peace, freedom and hope, conveying the importance of protecting nature and coexisting with nature. The colorful prayer flags in the background add a profound artistic conception of the integration of culture and nature, highlighting the interdependent life rhythm of humans and nature.

This design encourages viewers to think about their own roles, arouses the heart to cherish and protect nature, and at the same time conveys the tranquility and harmonious beauty of returning to nature.

I need to explain the meaning of the upgrade, and then I need to match it with a suitable music. I think this video makes the theme I want to express clear.
